Our priority goals are: literacy (writer’s and reader’s) workshop model, mathematics, science, and dual language

Our Philosophy: At Sabin, we understand and embrace that we are all learners. We work to develop each individual’s identity as a learner and help them to apply their understanding of learning to new situations.

We lift the level of all learners and stimulate enthusiasm for learning by using predictable structures to reinforce independence, participation, and ownership of one’s learning

Quality teaching translates in to quality learning. Teachers are clear about what students are expected to learn and teaching is concise and rigorous. Our students are with us for such a short amount of time, every moment is important. We use time wisely. There is no “down” time or wasted minutes in our day. We keep to a rigorous schedule because we know students in our care will flourish.

Children are the future. As adults, our students will be making decisions that will affect all of us. We must prepare them today to be able to successful in high school, college or as professionals to make good choices for tomorrow.

The Sabin School community must see it as their responsibility to move children to higher levels of performance and work together to ensure that no child is left behind. Academic rigor and intellectual development must be combined with humanity and empathy. How children see themselves is largely influenced by how adults see and treat them. We are fair. We are consistent. We aim high.
